Hi, welcome to my web site, my business, and my life!

This business is completely accidental. It is something that grew from a couple of friends asking me to cat sit for them after I left my last corporate job to launch a full time personal chef business. I guess I already had a reputation as a cat lover.

Soon, people I didn't even know started to call me to take care of their cats. It was difficult to establish the cooking business, and in time, I realized that the cat sitting business had basically taken over my life. At the end of 2009 I decided to stop promoting the cooking business (it still exists --- www.greatcapers.biz -- and I do still cook for people), and work full time on Twenty Toes.

Even though I didn't mean to start this business I am very serious about what we do. I have over 15 years of experience in the information technology industry as a technical writer. I use my overall education and work experience to guide me in this business. I have a BS in Journalism/Technical Writing from Polytechnic Institute of NYU in Brooklyn, NY, and an MS in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

The office environment years taught me about being professional and what's needed to work with clients, be organized, implement new ideas, and think ahead for growth. I also learned that sure, everyone wants to work on the new sexy thing (the latest software, kittens, whatever), but it's the basics, done right, that hold everything together.

I am also a middle-aged, home-owning adult ... which doesn't sound too exciting unless you are looking for a responsible and knowledgeable person to organize and supervise taking care of your cats, your home, and all your possessions while you're away!

My goal now is to give you excellent service for the price and make sure I stay on top of things. It's been an interesting trip so far!
